autodimming has been fixed in a new update it still does logo dimming which can be turned off from settings.

I like their approach to smartphones and the echo system… I originally liked iPhones because they were so simple to use this was some years ago now I just like the look and the feel of most of their products and how smoothly they work together and now that I have Apple tv’s there’s no way I’m going back plus how connected I am with my family I can control parts of my moms house and visa versa

I’m locked in, I will never leave Apple under one circumstance. For phones, laptops and tablets I will always buy iPhone Pro’s, iPad Pro’s and MacBook Pro’s but for desktop I will always have a gaming desktop for obvious reasons. Apple got the game on lock though for the most part. Just bought a MacBook Pro 16 inch M3 actually lol.

it is so frustrating! first had the z3. Admittedly I dropped it and broke a hinge then the screen lifted making the phone inoperable. I tried again with the z3. did not drop the new one and after a few months the screen started to lift again. decided to upgrade to the 4 due to new hinge and only after a few months the screen lifted again across the crease. didnt drop it or damage it in any way. i gave up.

I thought you would have dived more into a compelling argument, but it was no real comparison of the user experience. I love iOS Notes, and I do so much with it. Just got along, keeps me there.

Im like you man, i use both and i will never quit both. I mix and match brands all time. The only person locking you into a eco system is you. I feel tech lasts such a long time now you dont need to buy the newest tech out. I am using a iphone 12pro, pixel 7, ipad mini, apple watch, sony headphones they all work for me in a daily basis. Im thinking my next phone will be a foldable just dont know which one yet.

m2 is not faster than m1 max if you do any sort of graphics rendering. Theres less gpu cores.

I own iPhone 14 Pro Max and Samsung s24ultra to be honest I lowkey like the iPhone better but if I need some pics then I’m using Samsung I like texting on my iPhone and I noticed a lot of apps works better on iPhone the Samsung seem a little buggy to me like RUclips, Twitter, TikTok and so on

yeah we all know flagship android phones are better device but the app developers are the reasons makes me keeping the iphone so many app developers are well optimized for IOS rather than android so it works so much better and flawlessly on IOS and yall like 90% of people in USA own iphone and they will keep buying iphones so more reason for app developers to work on IOS better haha

I did had an iPhone 14 pro until 2 weeks ago, but traded it in for a Google Pixel Fold (have a thing for Pixels myself); although the keynote was cool, I did not felt that I was missing out too much. I get to come back and forth between iOS and Android, having a preference with Android but appreciating the little things Apple does to make the OS behave "flawless" to some extent. I do not think I would switch back (at least not for now), but I do am happy for the iOS user that gets to experience how nice to tailor your device experience to their own liking. I'm glad that they get to enjoy these things as well and glad that Apple finally gave in for customization as well!

LOL.... Talk about always in the fence. I have been going back and forth between Samsung and iphone since iphone X and S21 ultra... I get on Samsung, a week or 2 later, I miss some features in the iphone. I get on iphone, a week or two later I miss samsung. It's FOOKING hard.....

Had the first iPhone all the way up to the 3GS i believe got tired of the closeness of them and felt like I was buying the same thing over and over again till finally I switched. I use to have androids tons of them in the beginning due to the customization of them and the things that you could do with them that fell into that “grey” area so to speak. Last android I has was a Nexus 6P kept that thing forever forever due to the picture quality and “night mode” I think I even had the apk for the camera before it was ever released it was amazing at the time. Got the iPhone when the design changed to what we currently have basically then like you said got the watch EarPods etc and even began to enjoy the simplicity of how uncustomizable it was and the fact that “it just worked” although I am excited that with iOS 18 we are given a little wiggle room to make our phones a little more of our own it’s nice to scratch that old itch so to speak.

I won’t leave Apple because at the moment it suits my needs. My family use iPhones, it’s easy to send photos, call, FaceTime with them but the clutch for me is ‘Check In’ & ‘Friend Tracking’ because my family live all over the place to see how far they are away when they come to visit or knowing when they have arrived home safely is a massive plus for me.
